The 2nd Amendment other Adventures

This is the hand of a trained killer

It also happens to be my hand.

No big deal

Our line of "Jojo the Crack head"s, about to be taken down
(I can't take credit for their name. Our instructor is basically awesome)

A few shots to the thorasic cavity dispatched them nicely

My weapon of choice

Getting some metal on meat! er... paper!

My brother is kind of a big deal. Bet you didn't know

Yah, we're pretty cute I guess

Wondering what all these photos are about?

Ok story time!

Over the weekend my dad took Britton and I down to Parump NV (Say it out loud, and it looks exactly like what you're thinking of. That little town was pretty sweet) for some defensive hand gun training at Front Sight

Let me tell you, it was a blast!
(No pun intended)

If any of you have been interested in learning how to use a hand gun, brush up on your skills, or learning the in's and out's of what defensively using a hand gun can mean, check this place out!

Spending time with my dad, brother, and uncle, shooting at things out in the desert, overall a pretty good weekend!

Rock on 2nd Amendment.
Rock on.

In other news, guess who got into the BFA program in Photography at USU?

:)

More then a little excited about that one!

Thanks to all of you that believed in me! I really needed it to get me through it!

Next up, 2 more weeks of school, then Palau!

Don't ask me how I'm going to focus. I'm still trying to figure that one out myself.

XOXO

Check it out

So I was messing around (AKA procrastinating) and I decided to edit/enhance some of the teacup pictures from spring break. I'm definitely digging the results.

Love Love Love (so says Rach)

What?! 2 Posts in 2 Days?!
Yes, it's true! And I'm actually pretty impressed with myself I must say

But onto the important matters of the post! Over my lovely little trip (see below) I did a LOT of reading which of course I loved. I'm not one of those just lay out on the beach types, I have to be doing something or I go crazy. So, to get a decent tan, I usually end up going through a book or two.

This year I made it through 2I FINALLY had time to finish this one up! I was actually a little bit disappointed in "The Lost Symbol." Don't get me wrong, it was pretty great, but not as engaging as "Angels and Demons."

Dan Brown, it's your own fault for setting the bar so high for yourself

It's worth your time, but not before this .....

O. My. Goodness.

I'll be honest, I didn't know what to expect from "Hunger Games" but after I started it, I could not put it down! I started it during my layover in San Diego and sacrificed schoolwork, food, and sleep to finish it when I got home.

So Good.

I won't spoil it for you and tell you what it's about, and if you read the inside cover, it's going to sound so weird, but trust me, you won't be disappointed. The main character is basically my favorite kind of person to read about. Strong and Sassy. The story line is so compelling, and after I finished, the first thing I wanted to do was pick this up and start reading...

Sadly, I'm going to have to exercise some self control and wait until more pressing matters are resolved (stupid finals)

And *sniff* the 3rd one doesn't come out until the fall *sniff* so maybe it's better to not get too involved too quickly.

Too Late

Sorry, I'm a Lame-O

Hey All!

So... sorry it's been a while since my last post. I've been a bit busy doing this-

All. Week. Long.

But, I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll start from the beginning, before lovely days of laying on the beach.

The weekend of my flight, I decided to go visit my chicas, Megs and Al down in Provo over the weekend. As always, it was a GREAT time!

Mostly because of this..
And this
It was the Hindu "Festival of Colors" or Hare Krishna
But to us, it was "get covered in as much colored chalk as possible" day
It was VERY hard to breath at times
But it was most definitely worth it
Rachael's face says it all

It was also my first time sampling this little bit of goodness

Don't ask me why it was my first time at In-&-Out, but it won't be the last.

But I'm afraid delicious burgers couldn't hold a candle to THIS PLACE that I gorged myself on a few days later
If you haven't sampled Hawaii's famous Puka Dog, book yourself a plane ticket and prepare yourself. You'll never be the same.

This was probably my 5th Puka of the week.
Spicy Mango. Mmmmmmm

But most of the week was devoted to this

Hayden demonstrates how to live the good life with style

We also found this cool little place to jump off of the top of a waterfall

More terrifying then it looks, but hey, we did it anyway.

O, and there was a Rope swing too!
When that wasn't enough of a near death experience for us, we turned to THIS
Mattress Surfing
Which basically turned into a day of Bethany eating sand, drinking salt water, and loosing her top on more then one occasion.
We also did a little diving, a little boogie boarding, and went out to our favorite restaurants on Poipu beach.

So, basically my life has been pretty awesome over the past little while. Good times for sure.

Unfortunately, the next few weeks are going to be pretty dang stressful

Coming up:
My BFA review
This basically determines whether or not I get into my photo program
Photo trip to Southern Utah
This is still a "maybe" at this point in time since I don't have a tent... or sleeping bag.. or money for food and gas.. But knowing me, I'll find a way!
Las Vegas Hand Gun Course
I'll be packing heat shortly. You've been warned.
