Another Sneak Peek and a Recent Homework Assignment

Hey All!

I've got another little photoshoot sneak peek to share with you!

Meet the Crenshaw Family...

Some of my favorite people, and SO much fun to shoot!
Rachel and Steve

And the Kids of course! LOVE their outfits!

Watson, McKinna, and Sawyer

Seriously? These kids were amazing! Check out their model poses!
and trust me, they were MORE then patient! I think it paid off don't you?

Gotta love the polaroid thing
I hope they're as excited about these pics as I am!
PS sorry about the colors once again. Blogger is the vampire of color saturation because these look SO much better in person!

On a completely different note, school has been AWESOME! The more I get into it, the more I fall in love with taking photos! I'm sure most of you have seen this on facebook but I'm so excited about it, I thought I'd share it here as well!
This was one of my photo assignments for my digital class! It was definitely one of those rare times when things come out exactly like you pictured it in your head and I am in LOVE with this photo! Good news was, everyone at critique agreed with me. :) Thought you might enjoy it as well!

A BIG thanks to Rachael for being such an awesome model. She rocks at the creepy poses that I love so much. :)

More photoshoots to follow soon!

Farmer's Markets & Sunday Drives

I love Sunday drives

And the warm weather

and the COLORS that Fall brings

here's a few pics from said farmers market

After I took this photo, the guy running this stand insisted I take a free tomato. Pretty cool guy
and some beautiful flowers that I later bought for our table!
and now, onto the sunday drive that Rach, Maris and I took today up through Logan Canyon!

Beautiful right?

Hope you all have a lovely week!

Aim High

Guess what?

I'm feeling very inspired at the moment.

School has been amazing and I feel like I have FINALLY found my place
this is a really big deal for me

Last year as I was trudging through the mud that was Photo I and Photo II I really started to question what I was doing. Why o why did I decide to be a Photography major?

At one point I was very close to dropping everything, all of the work that I'd done up to this point and starting over. I just didn't feel like I had the passion that I needed to succeed in this field

O how the times have changed

Something has happened in the past little while that I'm pretty excited about

I rounded up some passion, and I have a new plan
Getting deeper and deeper into my photo classes, and having a pretty amazing instructor for my Digital class has made me realize that I need to aim higher in my chosen field

I want to aim higher

Before, my plan was to just do photos on the side. I was going to be that stereotypical wedding/portrait photographer, maybe get a studio, maybe not

and lately, I've come to realize, that's pretty dang bland
I need a little more room for creativity

and most of all, I could just DO so much better

I'm capable of SO much more

And realizing this has made ALL the difference

I'm going to work twice as hard at my photography
They ask for 3 prints, I'll give them 6
They ask for 2 rolls of film, I'll give them 4 exc.

I want to work for a magazine. Not Logan Magazine, or I.F. Magazine or anything like that
I'm talking National Geographic, Vogue, People, Scuba Magazine
something AMAZING, because I know that I can, and I know that that's what I want to do

So look out world, you'll be seeing BIG things from me!

PS. For a little inspiration, check out these photos by Andrew Zuckermen
I have his book "Creature" and I would LOVE to get his new book "Birds" which is where these photos are from. I love the angles that he photographs these animals from and it's something that I would never think of!
Enjoy!

School and a State Fair

My 2nd week of my junior year of college is almost over!

It's so weird to think I've achieved upperclassmen status

But so far I've been loving every minute of it!

This pretty much sums up how the past few weeks have been...
Freakin awesome

And of course we had to toast to a new school year and the new apartment..
With Martinelli's of course! :)

Love these girls
My first week of school was... interesting.
Classes are awesome so far! Loving my photography classes of course

But... my wallet did get stolen while I was running errands on monday
Not cool at all
Good news was I caught onto it before they had a chance to drain my accounts
I might have said some things that I wouldn't normally say in mixed company...*cough* *cough* racial slurs
Don't judge me

I wrapped up the interesting week with a fantastic weekend in Island Park with the family!
We did a little of this...
Razorin!
and it was a beautiful day as well...
I might have a 5 o'clock dirt shadow. And a really cheesy smile. Not a big deal
And on Monday we hit up the Eastern Idaho State Fair
We did many fair-like things. Like eating...
And eating...
Riding a few rides
Re-eating food that we'd just eaten
Just kiddin
But seriously

There was also some bull ridin
Done by Marissa! That's her game-face
Ride it like a champ Marissa!
Look at that form
and... there she goes
But so graceful! :)
We saw the many fuzzy animals that the fair provides..
And enjoyed the sights
And of course because I'm me I took WAY too many pictures
That are a little cliche but whatev

Happy to be here!
And to wrap up... we ate some more
Marissa loves funnel cake
So. Much.
And Tiff loves ice cream

In other, completely unrelated news, guess who gets home exactly 4 weeks from today?!

None other the the prodigal boyfriend himself

FA-Reakin out, just a lil bit
I'm sure this will be the first of many times I will freak about this on here. Just bear with me. I've been holding my tongue for almost 2 years now

Holy Crap

Dear life, Thanx for treating me well
Love, Bee
