In the Summa Time

In the Summa time....

We find weird new sodas to try,

Lots and lots of people get married,

We go to Summerfest and eat tasty food,

and we covet cute little puppies,

we go on climbing trips,

Rach and I take cute pictures,

we go watch some local bands,
and take cool pictures of beautiful Utah sunsets with my iphone
We go to the zoo with Russell,
Logan,
Baby Hunter
Paige,
and Sierra,
And watch the antics of the majestic giraffe.
Clay and Hunter take cute pictures
That make me very happy
I eat dip n' dots
So does Bobbie
And so does Clay
We go on train rides,
and look styling in the process.
Kelsey gets a black eye
and I make Clay wear aprons to help me cook Sunday dinner
Clay and Britton take naps
and we shoot off lots and lots of fireworks

as well as draw with sparklers

Megan and I drive way to fast on the segway
and then Drew gets in on the game.
We buy a $12 slip n' slide
and have epic water fights
During which

Clay gets
Very very wet

Clay shows how it's done
as does Devin.
We play with Sierra
and see lots and lots of family members
We break into our apartment through the back window when we leave the key in Idaho Falls
We come up with innovative ways to help our clothes dry
because our dryer hates us
but we try to keep it classy
We take trips to Sam's Club
but Clay doesn't like it much
We enjoy the new babies in our family
(baby Enzo and the dad!)
We go to the temple
to see new members added to our freaking awesome family
and look so fly whilst doing all this
we go to the reception
and mom makes faces when we catch her saying funny things
Clay becomes the unofficial/official videographer for a reception
we cruise around with the brosefs
and eat Nielson's Custard
maybe more then once
and it's so delicious
Our fridge goes out and lots of our food goes bad

I make fresh squeezed lemonade

and we start watching "24"

and that's pretty much what we do
in the summa time

XOXO

22? or 12? You decide.

Hey All!

Told yah I'd be back to blogging shortly!

So here's an update from good ol Logan Ut!

I've been spending a lot of my time here...

We filmed a few workout videos this week which was pretty fun!
Here's the crew...

Even though I had to be at work by 6 for a few days, it was an awesome time seeing how a video production crew works. Hopefully this love for the commercial world can carry me through missing the nice weather!

In other news, The Reeds have been doing typical summertime things like getting snow cones...

Love Clay's drinking face.

I've been practicing taking pics with my iphone... I thought this one was pretty neat.

PS if anyone is in the Logan area, I'm craving a fun photoshoot and I need models! Let me know!

On a completely different note, Clay has recently discovered my really weird love of plants. I asked for pots and plants for my birthday, and I'm DYING not having a place where I can plant a garden. This love has been around for a LONG time... Exhibit A:
Look at what a little munchkin I was!
Also take a look at my garden. That's right, MY garden. I would go out every day and water my little plants by hand, and yes, I would chat with them (plants grow better when they know they are loved you know)

Well last weekend I decided to pass on my love of plants and passed the torch to Hayden

Please ignore how pasty I am. This is why I was outside for 12 hours. :)

Just a little side tidbit because I'm sure I will talk about my struggles with gardening at an apartment on here again...

Now, onto the REAL point of this post!
Monday was a very special day!
On Monday, my love turned 22!

It was also his first day of big people school! Look how excited he is...
After he finished up his first day of classes (which he loves) we moved onto opening presents! This one was definitely a big hit...
Should make for some good adventures this summer. :)

Clay's mom and grandparents also took the time to drive down and took us out to lunch! We had a great time chatting and eating pasta :) Wish I would have taken pictures!

Clay also got an early birthday present (impulse buy) a few days before his birthday.

We were cruising around Walmart and decided to go check out the fish for kicks and giggles and we discovered this pretty boy...
Neither of us had never seen a betta fish like this, and we both concluded that he was rare... and that he needed to come home with us.

Clay named him Oscar and he became part of our growing family!

Little did Clay know that our family would get a little bigger with my present.

So, Clay is incredibly easy to get presents for. He has been saying that he would love to get a bearded dragon for a while now (which of course I supported fully) but after looking at them every single time we went to Petsmart for crickets, I broke the news that it would be WAY to expensive to get one.

Little did he know I had been putting money aside to surprise him with this little guy...
It was totally worth it for the look on his face. :)

Alright, now I have a little story for yah.
So before Clay and I got hitched, I was introduced to The Reed Birthday Cake. It has been a tradition to have this cake for almost every single Reed birthday. Very cool right?
Unfortunately this cake is a little bit tricky (for me) to make.
After Clay and I got engaged I was told that it would be my responsibility to make this cake, or the tradition would die out. (insert ominous music here)

I put on a strong face and told my mother-in-law I would not let her down, while trying to swallow my new found responsibility.

She got me all the stuff for the cake as a wedding present and on Monday I began my quest to become a true Reed woman and successfully make the Reed Birthday cake.

There were a few moments of stress, and I did have to improvise (O... I don't have a double boiler)

But guess what?

I did it!
The critiques (Clay) have spoken! I am now TRUELY part of the Reed clan!

To celebrate, we invited our single friends (only friends) over for some cake
Only to discover we didn't have birthday candles... so once again, we improvised.

After delicious cake, and some strong persuasion by Clay, we went to the movie "Super 8." For those of you that don't know, I am absolutely terrified of alien movies. (not the brown fence jumping kind) ;) I can watch almost any other kind of scary movie except those of the alien variety. I can't even watch E.T. I promise it's not spoiling the movie, but "Super 8" is basically a new, more sinister version of E.T. Yes I was a good wife and sucked it up. I was so jumpy the entire time but I managed to make it through without screaming (or crying for that matter).

So, we went to an Alien movie, ate birthday cake with friends, and Clay received a bike and a lizard for his birthday.
Yah, I might have married a 12 year old.

But I love every minute of it

Hope you all are having a lovely summer!

Love,
the 12 year olds at heart

Brace Yourself

Be warned all who read this post

Because it might just be all over the place

So... onto business! I've been meaning to post for a while now

I feel like I have things to write about, the problem is that none of it relates, hence the warning at the top of the page

Life is grand here in good ol Logan!

Right now I should be doing something productive like editing photos...

Instead I've been sitting around reading Harry Potter for about 3 hours

And people wonder why I don't read books while I'm attending school?
It's called self control issues my friends.

Good news is I have been doing some productive things!
I've been starting a long and laborious process called
"Operation X"
Also known as "make Bethany look like a professional photographer"

I've been working on starting up a new website where you can view my best work,
hired someone to draw up some business cards for me
and I'm writing up set price lists
and perhaps setting up a deal with a website so my future clients could print their photos and get them sent to them!

Yes I feel quiet accomplished

I must attribute this new found energy and zest for my business to my job,
Or perhaps it's my sudden thirst for a sweet photoshoot.
the weather perhaps?

Who knows... anyways it's gonna be sweet so keep an eye out on here for updates. I'm hoping to have the website up and running by this weekend if I can manage it!
Cross your fingers.

In other news, Clay and I headed home for Memorial Day weekend!
Grand times were had... check it out

We had a gorgeous drive up...
And we played with these 3...
like crazy! I would have had pictures of their cousins, Paige and Hunter as well but they discovered how to take pictures and videos with my iphone and the battery didn't really stand a chance. Poor thing.

We also partied with my family, and pulled out the good ol segways!
Clay demonstrates the technique.
(Can you tell I like my Iphone camera?)
I would have more pics from my house but my mama wont answer when I call her asking for pics. Sorry all.

Well, I think I'll stop there before I jump subjects again. I just read through this and it's kind of a lame update, but what can you do? I'll most definitely try to keep up better! Especially since it's supposed to be in the 70s this weekend!
Adventures will be had!

But until then, I'm off to make enchiladas and watch "The Walking Dead" with my sweet husband.
Thank you Netflix
and thank you Clay.

Until next time!

XOXO

Well look at that... I finally posted something!

We live!

I think I'll just stop apologizing for my absence in the blogging world.

Sometimes, one just gets busy
Or loses the free internet connection that one has been using for the past few months
stupid password protection

Well anyways, because of the lack of internet, you've missed out on all of the exciting summertime things the Reed's have been doing!

First off, we'll start with the less fun things... Work
I started my internship at Icon Health and Fitness a few weeks ago!

I have never worked a full time job in my life
Especially not during the summer
Im very used to having a very flexible work schedule because I'm usually working for myself

Clay says I was spoiled
I say I was blessed
You decide

But anyways, I had to grow up this summer and be a big girl and work 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday

At least the work is pretty entertaining most of the time.
Take a look...
This is one of our sets. They're filming a little infomercial at the moment..
Pretty cool eh?
This one is the stuff I'm used to. The Photo Sweep!

My job is to basically help the photographer with whatever he needs at the time.
Most of my work is moving lights around, grabbing random things like tape and such, and really trying to pay attention and learn about studio lighting. It's been pretty great thus far!

But of course nothing beats real summertime activities.

Like turning 21! I had to work on my birthday unfortunately, but Clay did a great job making my birthday special. He made me a cake...
With candles and everything!
And got me beautiful flowers...
He also took me out to eat (eating out has become one of my most favorite things, now that it is pretty much the last thing we can afford to do on a regular basis) He also let me get some pots with flowers, herbs, and strawberries to grow out on our porch! You have NO idea how happy this made me! Once again, you don't appreciate having something until it's gone, like space to grow a garden...

We also had a great time with Clay's mission buddy and his girlfriend who came down last weekend! We went to the farmer's market, went to "Thor" (which is pretty good btw), played Frisbee, (our new favorite game) and made some Parchment Chicken and played games. A very productive weekend I say!
Just us before church one day... made me laugh a lil bit
We also go on drives... Hey sexy...
And we skip rocks...
And of course, because it's me, we go on walks and catch snakes.
Clay knew I had an unhealthy love for scaly things before we got married, but I do believe this is the first time he witnessed it.
Hopefully he wasn't too creeped out by my lil friends
On our first trip to the farmer's market, Clay fell in love with a favorite booth of mine, "Hip Mama's Lemonade"
Fresh Squeezed and amazing. Delicious is an understatement.
And they have seasonal lemonades, as well as the regular. Last week was watermelon, this week, strawberry.
Despite the look on Clay's face, he really does love it
And who wouldn't? I think we'll be back often this summer...
We also got some Polynesian food that was pretty great as well. Next week, we're going for the legit mexican food :)
Well, that pretty much catches you up on our life here in good ol Logan!
I'm off to eat some stovetop smores and cuddle with my man,
Until next time!
Summertime, here we come!

XOXO
